Common questions about working with Diakon Media.
·
How long does a website build take?
From signed contract to live site is 2 weeks. Fixed scope, fixed timeline. If your situation needs a faster turnaround, we can discuss a compressed schedule on the discovery call.
Do you build from scratch or use templates?
Everything is hand-coded from scratch. No WordPress, no drag-and-drop builders, no themes. Your site is built to your specific brand and goals: cleaner code, faster load times, and better performance on Google from day one.
How does SEO work and how long does it take?
SEO is a compounding channel. Anyone promising first-page rankings in 30 days is not being straight with you. We build a technically strong foundation from the start (proper structure, schema markup, keyword strategy), and rankings build from there over months, not days.
Why does SEO have a 3-month initial term?
Organic search needs time to actually work. Month one is the foundation: technical fixes, keyword map, on-page structure. Month two is where Google starts processing and evaluating the changes. By month three, you have real data: ranking movement, traffic trends, a clear picture of what is working. Three months is the shortest window where results are honestly measurable. After the initial term, the engagement goes month-to-month, or you can stay on a term contract to lock in a lower rate.
What is the difference between SEO and Local SEO?
Standard SEO targets broader keyword rankings on Google: people searching for what you do without a location attached. Local SEO focuses on map pack visibility and geo-specific searches, like "plumber near me" or "auto glass Carlsbad." Most local businesses benefit from both: technical SEO as the foundation and Local SEO to own the searches that actually drive calls. We scope the right mix for your market on the discovery call.
Do you run Google Ads and Meta Ads?
Yes. We build the campaign structure, write the ad copy, set up targeting, and manage it on an ongoing basis. Our management fee is flat monthly: we do not charge a percentage of your ad spend, so our incentive is your performance, not your budget size. No minimum spend is required, but we will tell you honestly on the call if your current budget is too small to generate meaningful data.
What does social media management include?
Content calendar planning, post creation and scheduling, and community engagement on the platforms where your customers actually spend time. We do not post for the sake of posting. Every piece of content is built around a reason, and we do not put you on platforms that do not make sense for your specific audience.
Do you build custom CRMs, or just websites and marketing?
Both. We build custom CRMs inside GoHighLevel for businesses whose leads need faster follow-up than a shared inbox can manage. Automated SMS and email fire the moment someone reaches out, pipelines are built around how you actually sell, and we manage it on an ongoing basis after launch. It is a one-time build fee, then a flat monthly rate to manage it. No percentage-of-anything.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
Most services are month-to-month with no minimum commitment: web, ads, social, and CRM management are all cancel-anytime. SEO is the exception: we require a 3-month initial term because organic search needs time to index, build authority, and produce data worth evaluating. After 3 months, SEO also goes month-to-month. Either way, you can pause or walk away anytime after the initial term, with everything intact.
Do I own my accounts and assets?
Completely. Your website code, your Google Ads account, your Meta Business account, your GoHighLevel CRM account, your analytics, your social profiles: everything is set up in your name from day one. If we ever part ways, you take all of it with you. No lock-in, no data held hostage.
Who will I be working with?
Directly with our founding team. No virtual assistants, no overseas contractors. Every person working on your project is based in the United States and is available to you throughout the entire engagement, not handed off to a junior account manager after onboarding.
What happens after my site goes live?
We offer ongoing hosting, maintenance, and SEO support so your site stays fast, secure, and improving over time. If you are running ads or SEO with us, those continue with monthly reporting and ongoing adjustments based on what the data shows. Nothing is set-and-forget.
How is Diakon different from a big agency or a freelancer?
A big agency puts you in a queue and routes your work through layers you never talk to. A freelancer disappears when things get busy. We are a small, focused team: senior-level work on every project, direct line of communication at every step. You are always talking to the people actually doing the work.
